Summer 2022 Training and Schedule NOW LIVE!

It’s almost summer, and that means Mundelein LUNCH is almost here. It’s time to train Team Leaders and start scheduling volunteers to help serve free meals to kids in our community

IMPORTANT CHANGES for 2022:

  • For the past two summers restrictions in this federally-funded program were eased due to the pandemic. For 2022, the Summer Food Service program returns to its regular protocol which DOES NOT PERMIT adults collecting multiple meals nor the meals to be taken away: they must be consumed on-site by children who are present during service times.
  • We will NOT be serving or distributing meals at the various housing complexes utilized in the past two years. Meals will be served and consumed only in the two parks listed: Hanrahan and Gordon Ray.
  • Now a maximum of two site volunteers per park per day (working in conjunction with one team leader at each).
  • Site volunteers are no longer requested to help load meals at New Hope Christian Fellowship. Just arrive at your serving site at 11:45am to help your Team Leader unload and setup.

Team Leader Training

One Team Leader, trained to follow program requirements and complete paperwork, is required per site per day. The training isn’t difficult and it’s all online again this year. Visit this site to register for a Team Leader training online session, available through June 14th. Class sizes are limited, so don’t hesitate to pick your most convenient session now.

2022 Signup schedule now live
